The connection between body and mind

בואו לנופש בריאות

Health and internal happiness result from obeying and working according to Nature’s law and applying them in everyday life. Every situation we’re in (physical or mental) affects us in one of the following ways:

a. It becomes a healthy part of our existence
b. It becomes toxic and is rejected by our body and mind (a healthy process)
c. It is identified as toxic, stored in the body and mind and forms a basis for diseases (if not removed). {Bad relationships}

What do we mean by “Not obeying Nature’s Laws”?

  • Since the Industrial Revolution, and especially since World War I, we have been dwindling our natural treasures, using fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, hormones, chemicals, drugs – the list is almost endless.
  • What's in our food: Meat, chicken and dairy products have too much antibiotics, hormones and parasites.
  • Fish from the oceans or from ponds have pollutants and mercury
  • The cooking process destroys vitamins and minerals, enzymes and oxygen, concentrates the amount of protein and fats and encourages production of free radicals.
  • Masking the problem by wonder drugs, potions, and pleasant odors offered by the pharmaceutical industries, confuses our immune system.

How do we strengthen the immune system?

Exposure to the sun

  • It is important to be exposed to the san 20-30 minutes a day, while covering all sensitive parts of the body. The best hours are until 10 am and from 4 pm in the afternoon. Sunshine strengthens the immune system (essential for the formation of vitamin D and calcium).
  • On the other hand, an over extended exposure to the sun may encourage the growth of unhealthy cells.

Oxygen

  • It is important to breathe deeply near the ocean, in nature, in a nursery, or next to air filtration, with an oxygen device.
  • Include sprouts and vegetables juices in your diet..

Water

  • Drink filtered water (reversed osmosis is a good choice)
  • Regular tap water contains bacteria, viruses, parasites, nitrogens and chlorides.
  • Every couple of days use a hot bath which contains backing soda, ground ginger or green clay (one cup per bath), and afterwards rinse yourself with cold water. This way' toxins are drawn out through the skin (especially heavy metals). Use filtered water for this bath.

Raw and Living Food

  • Be aware of every bite of food you put in your mouth
  • Be aware of your body’s reaction to the different foods you consume:
    a. Do you feel tired after a meal?
    b. Do you have cravings for certain foods?
    c. Are you addicted to sweets? fried? Coffee?
  • Eat organic raw and living food
  • Include in your diet 50% vegetables and green sprouts and 20% vegetables of other colors. Eat them preferably without cooking, in order to benefit from their enzymes and vitamins.
  • Restrict your cooked food to no more than 20-30%. Ideally – steamed vegetables, butternut squash and baked sweet potatoes, as well as alkaline grains cooked lightly, like: amaranth, quinoa, buckwheat and millet.
  • Reduce consumption of fruits to 5-%-15% two or three fruits a day). Prefer fruits that were picked ripe. Eat them as close as possible to picking time.
  • Use green sprouts abundantly: from sunflowers (these are the most powerful), buckwheat and alfalfa, arugula, cabbage, watercress, dill, fenugreek, garlic, swiss chard, mustard seeds, onion, radish, green pea, broccoli, spinach, and more.
  • Always drink wheatgrass juice on an empty stomach..
  • Organize a juice day once a week with 2 glasses of green juices a day, another glass with an addition of carrots and beets, and if there is no problem with elevated blood sugars – one glass of fresh fruit juice.
  • Soak and sprout all seeds, grains and legumes before you eat them or cook them. All nuts can be soaked only, thus we revive their enzymes. The first step in digestion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates starts here.
  • To energize yourself, it is important to consume sprouted legumes and seeds (preferably raw, but also cooked) one meal a day.
  • Amaranth, quinoa and millet are the most alkaline. After them, second best are buckwheat, rye and spelt. The preferable legumes for achieving energy are chickpeas and peas. The most energizing sprouts are mung and adzuki beans.
  • Eat a handful of almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, whole sesame seeds or other nuts (except for cashew and peanuts) 2-3 times weekly. Always soak them before you eat them.
  • Nuts and seeds are an excellent source of essential fat acids and amino acids, especially when one does not eat grains or legumes.
  • Use garlic in salads and fresh juices. Garlic is a natural disinfectant.
  • Use digestive enzymes approximately as soon as you start the meal, in order to enhance the digestive process.
  • Use only cold pressed oils (olive oil, flax seed oil, sesame oil and grapefruit seed oil)
  • Eliminate from you menu processed grains and dairy products, which are acidic and cause phlegm. They cause allergies which burden the immune system.
  • Avoid eating meat and chicken, including fish. All meats include too much complex protein, as well as hormones, chemicals and parasites, which attack the immune system and increase the body’s acidity.
  • Avoid eating fried foods, which form free radicals and expose our body to carcinogens and viruses.
  • Avoid food that is heated or cooked in the microwave. The microware destroys cells. (imagine the effect of a small nuclear bomb!)
  • Choose other options like: dehydrating, steaming, baking, toasting in a regular oven.
  • Avoid consumption of too many sweet concentrated foods (including dried fruits, honey, syrup, maple, molasses) and all foods that end with the word …ose (sucrose, maltose, galactose, etc.)
  • Avoid salty foods. Prefer Tamari and Shoyu soy sauce (made with sea salt, preferably with no gluten).
  • Memorize the food combining rules, especially when buying ready-made food.
  • Eat only when you are relaxed and plan your meal times between sunrise and sunset.

Exercise

  • Get used to a daily routine of exercises, stretches, weight bearing, aerobic exercises, walking, swimming and jumping on the bouncer.
  • Jumping on the bouncer activates the “valves” of the lymphatic system and reinforces the blood flow (similar to a horse riding). Also, bounding does not cause shock to the spine.
  • Brush your skin daily – before or after the shower – during 3-5 minutes. Brushing eliminates the dead skin cells and stimulates the acupuncture points; it also encourages lymphatic drainage. You should always brush in the direction of the heart.

Rest

  • Listen to your body. Sometimes you will need a 30-minute rest after the meal.
  • Try to sleep during the night without interruptions.
  • Don’t eat or drink 3-4 hours prior to your bedtime.

Removal of environmental hazards:

  • Beware of electric gadgets around you, as well as cellular phones. These have electro-magnetic energy, which is hazardous to our health. Remove an electric clock from your bedside. Especially dangerous are the microwave, television, computer screens, fluorescent light, and electric blanket. Choose your residence away as possible from sources of high voltage.

Positive Thinking

  • Think positive and take responsibility for your life..
  • Imagine yourself healthy and happy before you go to bed and upon rising.
  • In order to break negative thinking pattern, memorize a new thinking pattern and say it to yourself numerous times a day. You will be surprised to know that after a while the old pattern will be broken and be replaced with a new one.
  • Imagine yourself surrounded by a white beam of light, which embraces you and protects you throughout the day.
  • Learn to appreciate and love yourself. Organize a journal for self-esteem, in which you will write every night, before going to bed, some things that you like about yourself. Afterwards, every three months, sit and read it during 60 minutes.

Be Aware of Harmful Foods

Read all the food labels. Know which materials are harmful:

  • MSG
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Insecticides in fruits and vegetables (many of them are estrogenic)
  • Preservatives
  • Nitrites
  • Nitrates (add flavor and color to salamis and preserved meats)
  • Sulphates
  • Food colorings (see separate page)
  • Aluminum (has been found in high concentration in Alzheimer’s patients brain)

Foods that contain aluminum:

  • Aluminum packaging material, such as aluminum foil, soft drink cans
  • Baking powder that contains aluminum
  • Frozen dough with aluminum containing baking powder
  • Self rising flour
  • It is not recommended to cook in aluminum pots and pans due to leakage of aluminum upon contact with food. The recommended pots are those made from stainless steel or pyrex.

Artificial Sweeteners

It is recommended not tot use them for the following reasons:

  • They encourage appetite for sweets. They likewise affect digestive procedures..
  • The American Cancer Society checked and found that people, who consume artificial sweeteners, do not succeed in losing weight; on the contrary – they gain weight. The reason is, that they slow down their digestive process and stimulate their appetite

.

  • NutraSweet has aspartame, which is a substance which contains Phenyl Alanine. People who suffer from a condition called Phenyl Catanoria, should not consume this sweetener, so as not to increase the Phenyl Alanine level in their blood.

Regardless of that, aspartame should be treated as a chemical.

One should remember that many of the products on the shelf like candies, gums, soft drinks contain aspartame (100 milligrams per one quart of Cola).

Side Effects from Aspartame

  • Memory loss
  • Failure of test buds
  • Tinnitus
  • Dizziness
  • Vision problems
  • Joint pains.
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Dizziness
  • Spasm attacks
  • Insomnia
  • Speech disorders

Sorbitol and Manitol

Produced from alcohol. Because they are absorbed very slowly though the intestines. they have side effects which result in gas and diarrhea.

Saccharine causes cancer in men’s urine bladder.

Hormones in herbicides and insecticides

Many of the insecticide and herbicides contain xenoestrogens, which are chemicals that contain a substance similar to estrogen, and which imitates estrogen. It competes on estrogen receptors in the body. In Western society today, girls develop very early because of too much exposure to estrogens, whereas in primitive societies there is no such problem.
