Tips for the holidays
Let's have a healthy vacationThe family WhatsApp messages are already sent in March to check where we are during the holiday. Indeed, the holidays are just around the corner.
The holiday meals are known as meals in which the variety of foods exceeds the eating capacity of the diners, and this has an advantage and a disadvantage, the disadvantage is that the variety and quantities are right in front of us, which makes it difficult to be restrained.
The advantage is that we have the option to choose what is right for us to eat and enjoy several types of holiday foods.
Here are some tips to enjoy the holiday meals:
- Our recommendation, start the day of the holiday (and the next day) with a glass of juice or a smoothie made of green leaves and an apple, make sure to eat lunch and not skip it as some of us tend to do, we would like to arrive relaxed and satiated to the right degree for the meal.
- Start the holiday meal itself with soup, after finishing the soup we recommend waiting 10-15 minutes before the main course, a great time to fill in gaps with the family.
- From the main dishes, choose one food that particularly appeals to you And make sure to fill the plate around it with a variety of salads and cooked vegetables, for those of you who eat fish this is indeed a good solution as a main course.
- If you are asked to bring a dish, make sure to bring a dish that you particularly like and know that its values are healthy and good.
- Drinking water not during the meal – A glass of water half an hour before and half an hour after the meal.
- Between bites put the fork to the side of the plate, this action allows us to focus on slow and good chewing, thus helping the digestive system with the difficult task ahead.
- To finish, wait for dessert at least half an hour after the end of the meal and try to settle for a indulgent fruit salad.
And most importantly, have fun! Remember that this is a family meal and the purpose of the holiday is to meet and be happy together
